  • Culligan's water outlet misinformation

At the Walmart in Hamburg, NY, there is a water filter faucet distribution location at the back of the store where you can fill your empty 3 or 5 gallon containers at a fraction of the cost of having them PREfilled. As of September 2012 it was $0.37 / gallon. You do the math. My complaint is that in the city and local suburbs of Buffalo, there is not a single site location for faucet filtered water distribution. I'm hoping the company responds. They're website is a little rough also. More...

  • Buyer Beware!

I called Culligan when we moved into our home with an existing system. The "technician" spent all of two minutes looking at my system and told me that it was too old too repair or service and then introduced me to a sales associate who had just happen to come along with him. Afterwards, when Culligan inexplicably billed me almost $300.00 for the "service call" (again, the service person did nothing except introduce me to the sales person and I never wanted a pitch in the first place!), I refused to pay. Culligan threatened to send me to collections and the sales rep... More...

  • Culligan Water of Nokomis...

Culligan Water of Nokomis Florida left a small empty bottle on my door claiming free water testing in your area. This was the start to a nightmare with this company. After they test your water they come out to "talk to about the test" which is actually a sales call. They told us we had an iron problem and bacteria ridden water which could harm our 2 year old daughter The system was almost $6500.00. After saying no way this system suddenly he had something that could do the job for $1600.00 because he had it left over from a deal that didn't fall through. We stupidly agreed... More...

Had a rental softener installed. Was charged $10.00 monthly more (admin fees I was not told about), and then was charged (by debit card, so I couldn't object) to TWICE as much for salt. They said they put 4 bags of salt in, there is NO way because I was watching my salt tank to see what they put in. Had it removed, and because they did not inform me that it requires 30 days notice (stupid way for them to keep all your money) they refuse to refund my money. Got totally ripped off for $150.00 which I can't afford. Another example of big corporation greed that we hear so much about. Now I'm with a small local company, paying 1/3rd what I was, and couldn't be happier. Big does not mean better. Will never recommend them, and will be sure to inform lots of people about their greed. I am a waitress!!!!!!
